Bianca Prins

After 10 years in a corporate financial institution, where I worked within ESR and almost 9 years as Global Head of Accessibility. I left ING Bank in the summer of 2025 with a mission: making banking more accessible and inclusive for persons with disabilities.

Now working as freelance accessibility consultant with dedicated and unique expertise on accessibility, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), and Human Rights, accessibility, and inclusion as part of the AI Act. My primary focus lies on the fast-increasing impact of AI in banking services, reshaping banking services with accessibility in mind supporting both UX and compliance efforts of services within EAA requirements.

Beyond banking services

In December 2025 I published my book Disability Inclusion = Shared Responsibility. I took this challenge on explaining my characteristic approach, based on a combination of lived experience, self-education, traps along the way, University programs and other professional trainings. My book was awarded with IAAP credits for my CPACC (Certified Professional Accessibility Core Competencies), first obtained in 2022 as crown on my learning cycle as accessibility consultant.

Wish to verify - no offence taken - this is the certification verification portal.

Words like trailblazer, rockstar, are often used by peers to announce me as speaker at accessibility conferences. Transforming from internal corporate or expert speaker at conferences – The InCluencer provides me with the opportunity to inspire and share the importance of accessibility and disability inclusion.

Business drawings help me make sense of business and governance complexities, here progress over perfection applies. They bring humor and create clarity when words would result in complexity instead of understanding.

Beyond consultancy

Next to my work as sr. Accessibility consultant, I am City Council Member in Krimpen aan den IJssel, and Advisory Board Member of the Equitable AI Alliance.

I find relaxation in running, biking, speedskating and swimming.

My time at ING

As first Global Head of Accessibility at ING bank, I shaped the inaugural global accessibility strategy, Global accessibility policy, and key EAA Compliance program. Next to co-chairing the Global Accessibility SteerCo, including Disability ERG representation. Did you know I was instrumental in the introduction of the accessible card as standard in (currently) 3 countries. This decision affected Master Cards use of the notch differentiating credit, debit, and cash cards.

Certified Accessibility Professional

Ervaring Spreekt-45.jpeg

I have been an internationally certified Accessibility Professional (CPACC) with IAAP since 2022, with my most recent recertification in 2025. I continuously maintain my expertise through research, knowledge sharing, speaking engagements, and IAAP‑accredited conferences and training. Like to verify, this is the certification varification portal.
